Collaboration with Carlyn Lindsay 

Carlyn produces wonderful work from laminated timber.  

It takes dedication, patience and much skill  to prepare the timber ready to accept the  laminates and then build the blocks. It can be weeks before the adhesive used is dry. All this before any turning can begin!  

This piece was great fun to hollow as the different patterns and colours changed as the various curves developed.  The 'puffin bills' at either end of the lobes were a real treat to discover!
